Dec Charity: One Ummah

Regardless of anyones understanding or perception of the muddled situation in Syria and the Middle-East, one thing that’s undeniably clear the suffering inflicted on civilians everyday who find themselves caught-up in the conflict.
This month I’m highlighting and donating to One Ummah, a “non-profit organisation that provides aid to those most in need around the world”. The charity does great work to help those in poverty, with their current focus understandably being in the Middle-East. It made me somewhat proud (although I accept that ‘proud’ may not be the correct term) to learn that the charity was established locally to me in the North-East of England.
I have a huge amount of respect for their ‘100% donation policy’ too, which removes any doubt as to where any gifted money goes to.

Please note that One Ummah is one of many great charities helping those in need in Syria (another of which I mentioned as Mays charity of the month). Any way that we can support those currently in need will, I’m sure, be greatly appreciated, especially at this time of year – the season of giving.
