
From Complex Research to Clear Insights: Vypr’s Consumer Horizons (May 2025) Report

When it comes to product intelligence, presenting data in a clear yet engaging manner is key. That’s exactly the approach myself and the team at Vypr aimed to achieve in our latest project, and this one was a mammoth – their biggest report yet.
The Big Task
The primary challenge was transforming a wealth of consumer insight data into a visually appealing and easily digestible format. The Consumer Horizons (May 2025) report isn’t just another market analysis, it’s a comprehensive guide to thriving in a rapidly changing marketplace, built from Vypr’s community of over 80,000 UK consumers.
From economic pressures to sustainability demands, to technological advancements, and shifting spending habits, this report needed to offer a clear snapshot of pressing needs and emerging opportunities for brands across retail and consumer goods.
Design Approach
The focus was on creating designs that don’t just catch the eye but also facilitated understanding. Each element needed to help transform complex consumer data into actionable intelligence for brands.
The report required a careful balance:
- Making Data Accessible – Utilising charts, infographics, and clean layouts to bring clarity to the research
- Brand Alignment – Ensuring the design enhanced Vypr’s identity as a leading product intelligence platform
- Visual Storytelling – Creating a consistent flow that guides readers through different insights sections
The Collaborative Process
Working closely with the Vypr team (as we have done for several years) we leveraged their expertise in consumer behavior and market research, combined it with the design approach we’ve refined, and created a report that’s more than just visually appealing, it’s an essential industy resource.
Balancing Complexity With Clarity
The mixed-method research approach employed by Vypr, combining both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, presented an interesting design challenge. The report needed to present statistical data clearly while also conveying more nuanced consumer attitudes and behaviors.
This aligned perfectly with my design philosophy of blending technology, culture, and discovery. Each design decision was made with the end goal in mind: helping brands understand and act upon real consumer needs and desires.
