Brougham School Web Redesign

Brougham School is a community primary school located in Hartlepool with a strong record of success and are currently listed in the top 1% of schools nationally. Earlier this year they approached Peter Hinton Design once again to redesign and reenvision their website.
One of the main aspects I love about my job is the fact that every project truly is unique. The new Brougham School website was no exception with a wide target-audience that ranges from parents and children, to councils and OFSTED. We worked closely to maintain the core navigation of the existing website which had proved successful while tailoring a new version focused on responsive design (adapts to mobiles, tablets and computers) along with streamlining the information and structure.
As with many projects of this nature it was important for the website to be easy to update. WordPress was used as the content management system used to power the project, and was fully customised to meet Brougham School’s requirements.
The head teacher, Julie Thomas, was kind enough to share these words upon completion; “We recommissioned Peter Hinton Design due to the success of our previous website, along with his complete understanding of the websites need to be easy-to-use whilst meeting all educational requirements. Our website is primarily for our school community who can access it easily through phones and tablets. We are often complimented on our website and know that we have a quality product with on-going support that is easily maintained and updated.”
